My Review:
In the front of Blue Moon author Alyson Noel adds quote
" Every man has his own destiny; the only imperative is to follow it, to accept
it, no matter where it leads him." By Henry Miller. This quote completely
portrays her story line which also embeds in our heads that although the past
can't be changed the future has a number of possibilities it's all up to us on
how we make it. Blue moon brings us back to Ever when she is learning the many
abilities she is now blessed with after becoming immortal. Damen is a great
teacher but Ever always finds herself very distracted never wanting to miss an
opportunity to make out with the her soul-mate. Time and time again though she
pulls herself away just as they are about to get as close as two people can be,
she envisions all the years he spent with out her by his side and doesn't even
want to begin the notion with whom he spent that time with. Ever's friends Miles
& Haven have even begun to get sick of the love fest that is Ever and Damen.
A new kid, Roman is there one day waiting at the lunch room table one day and
Ever can't seem to shake this awful feeling she has every time he is around. He
seems to be around quite a bit even shares several classes with Ever. Of course
everyone else seems to think he is just great especially Haven who seems to have
a bit of a crush on him. As the normal everyday seems to be perfect and she
thinks she might even get past her insecurities, they even go as far as
reserving a room. Damen starts to feel funny and even has trouble manifesting
flowers for Miles great break through performance in the school musical
Hairspray. When Ever notices his trouble she quickly uses her new powers to get
the job done trying to reassure him. He tells her he will bring the car around
while she gives the congrats to Miles on his awesome performance. As time ticks
by she becomes more concern he has come in she goes to wait outside for him only
to find him not there, waiting patiently till almost no one is left there. Roman
walks out and quickly reminds her that Daman must be crazy to have left her,
offering her a ride. With his creepiness seeping all over him all she wants is
to know what happen to Damen and for Roman to leave her be. The story begins to
take some unusual twist from here. The next
day at school Damen is there as usual only he is parked somewhere different then
his designated spot and when she approaches him he clearly states that he has
received all 50 something calls and gives her the complete cold shoulder this is
totally not the Damen Ever knows. Something is clearly wrong here and it will
take digging through Damen's past and hers just to figure it out. As the story
progresses the not so innocent Roman begins to look more and more like the
culprit. All and all this was a great sequel to Evermore there are a ton of
twist in the story line and it will keep you glued all the way to the end. I
have to say the ending wasn't that great to me but I know there is great reasons
be hide it and can't wait for Shadowland!
I Would Read this Again!
